Sound Health Connects provides the 24-week required pre-surgical program for all Teamsters members wishing to have their bariatric surgery covered by the Trust. We work to help you prepare mentally and physically for success after surgery. Your team of Nutritionist, Lifestyle Counselor and Personal Trainer aim to support your readiness and long-term success. A special emphasis will be placed on helping you best align with your hunger and satiety cues. In addition, we’ll coach you as you gradually make the dietary and lifestyle changes that will serve as your foundation for success long-term. After your surgery you have the option to access a year-long program of support with your team.
While all of the sessions with your SHC team are via our secure telehealth platform you do have the option of working with a personal trainer of your choice. Please visit the FAQs page for more specifics on your choices for personal training.
